REUTERS — The Australia-based pathology and radiology group Sonic Healthcare Ltd recently announced it had reached an agreement to purchase Aurora Diagnostics, of Florida, for a sum of $540 million.
In a press release announcing the deal, Sonic said it expects the move will “substantially grow” its US operations.
Several outlets had reported earlier this year that Aurora was exploring a sale after completing several acquisitions throughout 2018.
The acquisition of Aurora is expected to be about 3 percent EPS accretive post-placement on a pro-forma FY2019 basis before expected revenue and cost synergies, Sonic said in its statement.
