Ann Lambrix serves as Vachette’s Vice President of RCM Consulting, heading up the company’s day-to-day operations. With more than 20 years in the medical insurance and billing industry, her experience provides for an insightful analysis of revenue cycle and the payor trends impacting reimbursement. Ms. Lambrix holds a MSJ in Health and Hospital Law.
Director of Audit Services
Billie Mildenberger comes to Vachette with more than 20 years of experience in the health care industry as a senior-level auditor. She has worked on managed care audits, payment posting audits, clinical and anatomic pathology audits, making her a valuable asset to the company. Billie graduated with honors from Owens Community College with an associate’s degree in applied business-accounting and is also a Certified Professional Coder.
Business Development Manager, Revenue Cycle Management Solutions
Mark Dietz joined Vachette Pathology in October 2014. Prior to Vachette, he spent seven years in the elevator industry as a national business development manager, where he was known for his personable nature and technical knowledge. Previously, Mark spent six years as an engineer in the automotive industry, working with Fortune 500 clients and major automakers. He even taught middle school in his beloved hometown of Baltimore, MD. Mark received his B.S. from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia and has traveled extensively throughout Europe. He currently resides in Adrian, MI. with his wife and son, Dylan, a budding superhero.

Amy Keil joined Vachette in late 2018 after spending more than a decade in the medical billing world. She first worked as a billing supervisor in charge of overseeing payment receiving, data entry and payment posting before spending the past six years as a managed care billing specialist for a skilled nursing facility. Prior to her time in medical billing, Amy even ran her own local business for nearly a decade.
Amy grew up in a small town south of Toledo, Ohio. In her free time, she enjoys DIY crafting, reading and spending time with her three amazing daughters.
Tracy joined Vachette in May 2021, bringing with her more than eight years of experience in the healthcare field. Tracy is a registered medical assistant and recently graduated from Tiffin University with a bachelor’s in health administration. Prior to joining Vachette, Tracy was a practice manager for a healthcare company where she provided education on revenue cycle management to staff. She proudly served in the United States Navy and has traveled across the globe.
In her spare time, she enjoys going hiking and traveling with her husband, Mark, son, Jackson, and two rescue coonhounds, Tucker and Luna.
Tami Shaw is a USMC veteran with more than 20 years’ experience overall in the health care industry, ranging from the fast-paced environment of hospital phlebotomy, to the very detailed supervision of specimen processing. She also spent time managing a team of more than 45 staff in all aspects of the revenue cycle for both clinical and anatomic pathology. She was credentialed in 2019 for Accounts Receivable Management (ARM) through the Institute of Financial Management.
Tami grew up in Oregon and currently resides in Granger, Ind., near Notre Dame University.
Dyana joined Vachette with 30 years of experience in the medical field when she joined the team in 2021. Striving to position others for success by eliminating obstacles and creating efficiencies, she honed her expertise in the revenue cycle of hospital-based specialties over a 20 year period of time. As Director of Operations for the Pathology Division of a national medical billing organization, she developed decidedly engaged global teams who consistently outperformed their peers in performance, effectiveness, and collaboration.
Dyana relies on a healthy sense of humor, an eclectic music playlist, and the love of her family to get her through Mondays and full moons. She enjoys reading and curating magazines on Flipboard, binging Netflix, and dancing around without falling over while listening to good music in her spare time.
Cassie Penn joined Vachette in January 2022, bringing more than 20 years of experience in Laboratory Medicine. Cassie is an experienced Laboratory Director with demonstrated history of working in the hospital and healthcare industry, skilled in all areas of the laboratory and hospital setting. She is a strong healthcare professional with a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Bellevue University.
Cassie grew up in North Central Kansas and currently resides in North Platte, Nebraska. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing her PhD.
Lead RCM and Coding Specialist
Holly Wolford joined Vachette in May 2021 after having worked as a coder for over 20 years. Holly brings experience in many specialties, including anatomic pathology, radiology, and same-day surgery. She is a Certified Professional Coder and Certified Outpatient Coder. Holly previously worked at a medical billing company where her duties included auditing, and training coders, and educating pathologists.
Originally from Perrysburg, Ohio, Holly now resides in in Monroe, Mich. She enjoys boating on the various lakes in Michigan with her boyfriend and going to the movies.
Marketing Communications Manager
Alex Mitchell joined Vachette in February 2016 to produce web content based on the latest industry news and trends our team members uncover. A native of Blissfield, Mich., Alex graduated from Michigan State University in 2012 with a B.A. in journalism. Prior to joining Vachette, Alex honed his skills as a writer and communicator while working as a journalist in Kalamazoo, Mich. Alex also provides in-depth analysis and business intelligence for Vachette’s clients on CMS legislation, including MACRA, MIPS, PAMA and more.
In his free time, Alex enjoys playing quidditch and spending time with his wife, Ally, and young daughter, Billie. He is an avid gamer and Detroit sports super fan — a curse he’s passed down to his pet dog, Miggy (Cabrera), and cats, Calvin (Johnson) and Andre (Drummond).

Payer Reimbursement & Policy Specialist
AJ Lech joined Vachette in March 2021, bringing more than 20 years in the healthcare industry, including a significant amount of experience in physician billing and contract management. AJ is particularly well versed in reimbursement audits and managed care contracting. He also spent time serving as the billing manager for a start-up pharmacogenomics lab and performed revenue cycle management responsibilities.
In his free time, AJ enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He likes to camp, kayak and spend time in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National park area with family and friends.
Beth joined Vachette in 2020, bringing with her more than 30 years of experience in the health care industry. Beth has coded and billed for multiple surgical specialties throughout her career, including neurosurgery, general surgery, ENT, plastic and reconstructive surgery, Ob-Gyn, ophthalmology, and most recently, urology. Beth graduated from University of Toledo magna cum laude in 2017. Beth’s communication skills allowed her to successfully appeal volumes of appeals over the years with great success, including an instance when she received a personal apology from Ohio’s medical director. Beth’s opinion has also been sought by, and published, in Neurosurgery and ENT Coding Alert publications.
Beth is actively involved in the community of Sylvania, Ohio, having chaired a number of community events.
Sedrick Gonzalez joined Vachette in September of 2020 as a Data Projects Coordinator. He is a Blissfield High School graduate, which is where he also currently resides. Sedrick graduated in 2020 from Lourdes University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, where he also played as a member of the Gray Wolves baseball team. His spends his free time with family and friends and trying to catch a ball game of any sort.
Data Intake Coordinator
Grant Mitchell joined Vachette as a project coordinator in September 2018. He is a 2013 graduate of Blissfield High School who holds a B.A. in economics from Michigan State University. Grant is an avid sports fan who enjoys spending time with friends, being outdoors and gaming on his Xbox.
Devon Werner joined Vachette with more than 10 years of experience in the medical revenue cycle management field. She has been a certified coder with AHIMA since 2010 and has experience with multiple specialties, including everything from office visits to level 1 trauma. She has previously worked as a trainer and auditor for both the billing and coding aspects of the revenue cycle.
Devon lives in Parma, Ohio, and enjoys all things nature. She has served as a volunteer with the Cleveland Metroparks system since 2019, including one year of service at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.
Hilary Filbrun joined Vachette in September 2021. She brings with her six years of experience working insurance denials for a medical billing company that services pathologists across the country. She is returning to the workforce after spending nine years as a stay-at-home mom.
Hilary was raised in Toledo, Ohio, but has moved several times with her husband and their three children. They now reside in Arkansas. In her spare time, Hilary enjoys knitting and soap making.
Jen joined Vachette in 2020 to serve as our Administrative Coordinator. In her role, Jen handles incoming calls, assists with data entry and arranges travel for clients and staff.
Prior to joining Vachette, Jen spent five years with Express Employment Professionals as one of their Client Managers. During her time with Express, she started as an Office Assistant and was later promoted to Client Manager, where she perfomed day-to-day HR activities like vacation, benefits, interviewing, counseling and following EEOC/HIPPA laws.
Jen grew up in Erie, Mich. In her free time she loves to go camping and spend as much time as possible with her husband, family and two dogs, Gideon and Remi.
