Vachette CEO Mick Raich has been selected as one of 13 industry experts to join the Panel of National Pathology Leaders, a national think tank dedicated to advancing best practices and creating value-based business solutions for pathology groups.
The mission of PNPL is to develop innovative strategies and solutions for the pathology and lab medicine industry in response to operational and financial challenges, and to demonstrate value in an increasingly value-based healthcare delivery system. PNPL will work collaboratively with existing pathology and laboratory associations on issues of common concern.
PNPL’s thirteen panelists were drawn from several stakeholder groups, including pathologists, CEOs/COOs of large pathology practices, consultants, and attorneys (See the full list of panelists). Among the topics they plan to address are Strategic Planning, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Pathology, and Value Strategies. The panelists will spearhead publications and other work products.
Robert Tessier of HBP and Richard Cooper and Elizabeth Sullivan of McDonald Hopkins are the founding co-organizers of PNPL. HBP’s Allegra Klein will serve as Director.
The group’s inaugural strategy session was held in Miami in March 2019, and a subsequent planning meeting took place in New Orleans at the end of April.
